Other ways to access support
Victim Support National Homicide Service
Bereaved families affected by murder or manslaughter should be told about the Victim Support Homicide Service by the police family liaison officers (FLOs), who will, with consent, refer into the service. The police also can refer direct eyewitnesses into the service.
Anyone bereaved, or who has been a direct eyewitness, can also contact Victim Support directly by calling the Victim Support National Homicide Service on 0300 303 1984.
Supportline
Victim Support has a free Supportline available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please call us on 08 08 16 89 111. If English is not your first language and you’d like support, call our Supportline and let us know which language you speak. We will call you back with an interpreter as soon as possible. We also welcome calls via Relay UK and SignLive (BSL) (BSL).
Live chat
Victim Support delivers a free 24/7 live chat service, where you can speak to a specialist adviser any time of the day.
My Support Space
You can also create a free account on My Support Space – an online resource from Victim Support containing interactive guides to help you manage the impact crime has had on you.
