Are you passionate about your local community? Do you enjoy meeting people, raising awareness, and making a positive difference?
As a Community Champion Volunteer, you’ll represent Norfolk & Suffolk Victim Care in your local area, helping people understand the support available to victims of crime and how they can access it. You’ll attend community events, support awareness campaigns, share information, and help us build stronger relationships with local communities.
This role is perfect for anyone looking to:
No previous experience is required. We welcome people from all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from those with strong community connections, lived experience, cultural knowledge, or a passion for creating positive change. Full training, ongoing support, and reimbursement of agreed travel expenses will be provided. As this role represents Norfolk & Suffolk Victim Care in local communities, successful applicants will be required to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
Important to know: Community Champion Volunteers do not provide direct support or casework to service users. Instead, you’ll focus on raising awareness, promoting our services, building community connections, and helping more people understand how to access support if they need it.
